The programme also reflects this idea. International children's songs and folk songs such as ‘Kye Kye Kule’, “Kokoleoko” and the Malaysian song ‘Wau Bulan’ show how community can arise naturally and playfully. Modern works such as ‘Stand Together’ by Jim Papoulis or ‘Fly Away Home’ address themes such as solidarity, courage and confidence. ‘North’ by Sleeping at Last and the moving songs by Les Choristes – ‘Vois sur ton chemin’, ‘Cerf volant’, ‘Caresse sur l'océan’ – add a poetic touch. Maurice Clément enriches the concert with sensitive improvisations on the organ and creates musical transitions that further emphasise this idea of conviviality.
